Start by Confirming the Surface You Are Working On
The first step is to make sure that you know the type of surface you are trying to remove graffiti from. Why? Because different materials react differently to cleaning agents. If you try to use the wrong cleaning agent on masonry, you could do more damage than good. More delicate surfaces require soft brushes and might not be able to handle detergents, while concrete can generally handle any cleaner and high pressure.
Determine the Type of Graffiti Paint That Was Used

You should also not use a hot water or cold water pressure washer on brick if it might drop before freezing within a month. If you do, then the brick might not have completed dried and it has the potential to become damaged.
